Panorama

Panorama is a tool designed to generate accessibility reports for digital content such as Word documents, PowerPoint presentations, and PDFs. It also offers guidance on how to address accessibility issues and includes features that allow users to remediate certain issues directly within the tool.

Microsoft Accessibility Checkers

Microsoft Accessibility Checker is a built-in feature in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) that scans documents and presentations for accessibility issues. It provides actionable recommendations to make your content accessible to all users.

ScreenPal

ScreenPal is a tool that allows you to record what’s happening on your computer screen, as well as video and audio via your computer’s built-in webcam and microphone. This is a useful tool for recording lectures to share with students online, especially if the lecture includes PowerPoint slides or other visual aids. It also includes digital accessibility features to create captions and audio descriptions.

Equidox

Equidox is an advanced PDF remediation tool intended for people whose day‑to‑day work includes regular PDF remediation and who are already familiar with accessibility remediation practices. UMW has a limited number of concurrent Equidox licenses.

If your role involves ongoing PDF remediation and you would like to learn more about how Equidox may support that work, you can contact the Title II Accessibility Team at t2access@umw.edu.
